Production and Wholesale of Syracuse PGI lemons
Pasam Agrumi is one of the largest associations in the Syracuse area for the cultivation and marketing of Syracuse PGI lemons, the pride of Sicilian agriculture.
Our experience, the quality of our lemons, and the efficiency of our services have led the Italian market and the main European markets to prefer the “Femminello Siracusano” cultivar that P.A.S.A.M. has been growing with unwavering passion since 1986.
Lemons represent a large open-air industry: a clean industry that contributes significantly to preserving the biodiversity of our territory. With over 5,000 hectares of cultivated land, Syracuse is in fact the European capital of lemons.
Since 2008, our processing center has been equipped with a photovoltaic system that produces 500 kW, allowing us to operate entirely on self-consumption.
This is another step in our growth process, which aims to leave our children a cleaner world.
For packaging, we use classic corrugated cardboard boxes and plastic boxes with folding sides, Girsac nets, and we supply the product both stowed and in loose.
We can produce special or customised packaging according to our customers’ requests.
As part of our commitment to food safety, we have voluntarily adopted an internal product traceability system that allows us to accurately identify the exact origin of every single PASAM fruit intended for sale.
PASAM lemons do not contain fungicides, waxes or synthetic products.
We target both the Italian and foreign markets, although approximately 65% of PASAM’s production is exported to Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, England, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
All European countries in which the company has enjoyed the collaboration of the most representative players in the European large-scale retail trade, such as supermarkets and wholesalers.
